The Energy, Economy, Trade and Industry Committee of the Kuwaiti-Saudi Coordination Council holds a meeting

The committee discusses the development of cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the fields of energy, trade, industry, civil aviation, customs and economy The Ministry of Oil announced that the Coordination Committee in the fields of energy, economy, trade and industry emanating from the Kuwaiti-Saudi Coordination Council held a virtual meeting this morning, Sunday, May 28, 2023, for the technical committee, where the committee will be chaired in presence in the Ministry of Oil building by His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah and His Excellency Dr. Nasser bin Al-Hamidi Al-Dosari - General Supervisor of the Deputy Ministry for International Relations and Cooperation in the Ministry of Energy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in order to sign the minutes of the meeting. The Ministry of Oil said in a press statement that the meeting discusses ways to develop joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the fields of energy, trade, industry, civil aviation, customs and economy, and to translate the strong relations that bring the two countries together and reach them into integration, in order to achieve the security and prosperity of the two peoples. The Ministry of Oil stated that among the items on the agenda of the meeting is setting a common vision that works to deepen and sustain relations between the two countries in the fields of oil and gas, promote integration and find innovative solutions for optimal utilization of oil resources, and ensure effective implementation of cooperation and partnership opportunities. The Ministry of Oil indicated that the Kuwaiti-Saudi Coordination Council was supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after approving the draft governance, structure and organizational procedures for the Coordination Council, and the General Secretariat of the Council has 5 sub-committees emanating from it, namely: the Political, Consular and Nationals Coordination Committee, the Military and Security Coordination Committee, the Committee Coordination in the fields of culture, media, tourism and social development, the Coordination Committee in the fields of energy, economy, trade and industry, and finally the Coordination Committee in the fields of investment, environment and infrastructure. She said that the bodies included in the Kuwaiti-Saudi Coordination Council include the Ministry of Oil, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiaries, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Public Authority for Industry, the Competition Protection Authority, the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, the Administration General Customs and the General Administration of Civil Aviation.
