Today, Wednesday, March 22, 2023, the Ministry of Oil organized an award ceremony (Oil Innovates 2), under the auspices and presence of His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Sheikh Dr. Kuwait and the success partners of the award in its second session.
At the beginning of the ceremony, His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah, delivered a speech in which he said that the Ministry of Oil is keen to encourage and motivate young people to establish new innovative projects in the priority sectors within the ministry, in line with the objectives of the national innovation strategy and in accordance with the country's vision towards transformation. For a knowledge-based and competitive economy, encouraging individuals to creative and innovative thinking, and increasing entrepreneurial projects, in a way that establishes the position of the State of Kuwait as a destination based on knowledge and innovation, building human capacities and attracting talents.
Dr. mentioned. Nimer Al-Sabah, that the Ministry of Oil has always believed in strong institutions and partnerships, which is essential to achieving a sustainable society. , including accelerating work and stimulating innovation in the internal work environment, and we hope that it will benefit the Ministry of Oil.
He added, "The Ministry of Oil seeks to start qualifying young people as the basis for progress and prosperity, supporting their rights, encouraging them, and adopting their new and innovative ideas. Therefore, we are keen to continue the award in the coming years and establish effective partnerships with various academic bodies in the State of Kuwait."
His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil stressed that the promising youth energies are the future of Kuwait, and the country has minds and energies that are passionate about innovation and creativity. The goals of their homeland to a reality in which they live, and this is well aware of the Ministry of Oil, which put in its new visual identity the slogan "Youth is the oil of the future", and therefore we are very keen to expand their participation in the development process.
His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil stated that the “Oil Innovates” award in its second session came in line with the ministry’s efforts to nurture creativity and the digital revolution, develop employee creativity and urge them to excel. The award has become a center for attracting and nurturing talents, competencies and creative minds within the ministry to build a generation of young people capable of facing Future challenges and simulating best work practices.
At the end of his speech, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil gave thanks and praise for the efforts made by the Department of Public Relations in the Ministry to organize the award, and the participants from all programs and departments.
Speed up work
In her turn, Director of Public Relations and Information at the Ministry of Oil, Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, said that the ministry seeks to invest in the youth of the country, and equip them with skills and knowledge that respond to the rapid changes by equipping university youth and working to create a link and partnerships between students and the oil sector to hone their talents and develop their capabilities. Discovering the leaders among them and enabling them to participate positively in shaping the future of the State of Kuwait.
Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah indicated that the award-winning projects will contribute to accelerating the pace of work and achievement within the Ministry of Oil and in the oil sector as a whole, stressing that the Ministry of Oil is keen to provide continuous support to youth in all sectors and to provide all tools and means that enable them to optimally employ their capabilities. And their energies to serve their country and their community.
Prize winners
The Ministry of Oil has revealed the winners of the (Oil Innovates 2) award, and they are as follows:
1) First place
The Forecasting System Project for the Development of the Financial Analysis and Auditing Department - Ministry of Oil Prepared by students from the Australian University, namely: Abdul Latif Meshaal Atallah, Ahmed Abdullah Sultan, Aya Ahmed Al-Faihan and Yumna Abdul-Wahhab Al-Kandari, and supervised by Eng. Sami Asaad (Australian University) and the liaison officer (Wurud Al-Hadhoud - Financial Analysis and Audit Control - Ministry of Oil).
2) Second place
The caustic soda flakes pot project for improving drilling and production operations of the Drilling and Production Department - Ministry of Oil. It was prepared by students from the Australian University, namely: Al-Ritaj Hussein Karam, Abeer Youssef Al-Farhan, Mansour Abdulaziz Al-Mansour, and supervised by Dr. Mortada Al-Saba (Australian University) and the liaison officer, Eng. Rashid Al-Muwaizri (Drilling and Production Department - Ministry of Oil).
3) Third place
The Digital Inventory System Project at Drilling Sites for Smart Storage in Drilling Operations affiliated to the Drilling and Production Department - Ministry of Oil. It was prepared by students from the Australian University, as follows: Ali Raja Al-Otaibi, Hamad Walid Shamoh, Muhammad Adel Sabti, and under the supervision of Dr. Murtada Al-Saba from the Australian University, and the liaison officer, Eng. Rashid Al-Muwaizri (Drilling and Production Department - Ministry of Oil).
