(International Petroleum) opens a model fuel station in northern Italy

Kuwait Petroleum International (Q8) announced today, Friday, the opening of a model fuel station at the European level near Milan, northern Italy. The company said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the inauguration of the station on the highway in the Paderno Doniano area took place in the presence of the company's CEO, Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, his deputy for marketing operations Azzam Hamad Al-Mutawa, head of the (Q8) Italy branch, Judebe Zapala, and General Manager Bashar Al-Awadi. And Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Milan Abdel Nasser Bou Khaddour, along with a number of senior Italian officials. The statement pointed out that the design of the new station "was characterized by innovative and high-tech architectural solutions in which traditions meet with environmental sustainability, creating an ideal model for stations providing mobility services within the framework of the energy transition", making it one of the leading stations in the European continent. He pointed out that thanks to the station's provision of some environmentally friendly sustainable products, Kuwait Petroleum Italy (Q8) obtained additional funding from the European Union Fund to support sustainable infrastructure projects, which "demonstrates the company's interest in sustainability goals and innovative ways to self-finance its European projects." For his part, CEO Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah said, "Our presence here today confirms the Kuwaiti oil sector's interest in promoting our brand (Q8) in Europe and Italy in particular, given that the European continent is still the main base of KPI." "We also look to Italy, not only as a friendly country to Kuwait, but as a strategic partner that provides us with a vital market for refining and marketing our oil products in the Mediterranean region," he added. In turn, Deputy Executive Director Azzam Al-Mutawa said that the Paderno Doniano station is a global model for future stations and indicates the excellence of Q8 in terms of innovation, sustainability and the provision of environmentally friendly products requested by the company's customers in Italy. Al-Mutawa pointed out that this pilot station "embodies the company's updated strategy, which provides for improving its operations and raising its marketing position in Europe." The station covers an area of ​​8,000 square meters and contains many points for supplying different types of fuel, including (gasoline), (diesel), (liquefied petroleum gas) and (methane), in addition to (compressed natural gas (CNG) and six points for electric charging of two vehicles Some of them have a high speed of up to 300 kilowatts. The station provides other services, including a small supermarket in addition to a café, bakery and restaurant. It also contains a high level of digital technology used to communicate with customers. The station, whose architectural design is inspired by the sails of traditional owls, uses innovative energy-efficiency solutions, an LED lighting system that is lit by motion detectors, recycled materials, a rainwater harvesting system and a canopy for fuel pumps made of highly reflective materials covered by solar panels that produce 70 kilowatts of energy. The plant is a leader in Europe in terms of sustainability. KPI was established in 1983 and is known by the brand (Q8), which is a global marketing company affiliated with the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and operates a huge and wide network of retail fuel stations and stations serving dedicated transport routes in Europe, numbering more than 4700 stations, including more than 2800 stations in Italy. The company also supplies aviation fuel to global aviation in more than 70 airports worldwide, in addition to manufacturing and marketing one of the best and finest oils in the world, and operates through international partnership companies (JVs) a number of refineries.
