Kuwaiti (KIPEC): His Highness the Prime Minister inaugurates the administrative building of Al-Zour Refinery

The Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) announced today, Thursday, the opening of the administrative building of the Al-Zour oil refinery complex, under the patronage and presence of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister.
In a press statement on the sidelines of an inspection visit by the Council of Ministers headed by His Highness to the Al-Zour Refinery Complex, the official spokesman of (Quebec) Abdullah Al-Ajmi said that the administrative building is a distinctive architectural masterpiece in the heart of Al-Zour complex, as all environmental requirements that comply with the requirements of green buildings were taken into account, as well as Implementation of a project to recycle all used water and reclaim it to preserve the environment.
Al-Ajmi explained that the building obtained a two-star evaluation certificate in the category of new buildings under construction, after the building successfully passed the requirements of the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) from the Gulf Organization for Research and Development (GORD).
He added that His Highness the Prime Minister and the ministers accompanying him conducted a field tour to see the latest developments in the Al-Zour oil complex projects, which included the units of the Al-Zour refinery, with a focus on the great achievement recently achieved in operating the permanent facilities project to import liquefied natural gas.
Al-Ajmi indicated that the completion of these projects in the Al-Zour region will contribute to a comprehensive change in the region and the accompanying diversity in launching development projects to cover all sectors required to establish an integrated area with facilities, the largest industrial area and the second largest oil city after Al-Ahmadi.
He pointed out that the projects of the Al-Zour oil complex create job opportunities for Kuwaiti youth and provide great investment opportunities for the private sector, stressing that everyone works for the prosperity and development of the national economy and to make more possible for the State of Kuwait.
The Government Communication Center had announced that the Cabinet held an extraordinary meeting today at the headquarters of the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company, on the sidelines of the visit of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister and Ministers, for the projects (liquefied natural gas import facilities) and (Al-Zour Refinery).
