The Ministry of Oil concludes the Digital Transformation Award in its second session and reveals the winners

The award aims to promote the process of sustaining excellence in the oil sector and stimulate positive competitiveness among Kuwaiti youth
The Ministry of Oil announced the organization of the Digital Transformation Award Ceremony (Hackathon 2022) in its second session, and it is scheduled to be held on the evening of next Tuesday, corresponding to January 31, 2023, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel - 360 Mall, under the auspices and presence of His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil, Dr. Badr Hamed. Al-Mulla, and in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Sheikh Dr. Nimr Fahd Al-Malik Al-Sabah, officials of the Ministry of Oil, officials of oil companies, and academics from the various participating universities and colleges.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Oil said in a press statement that the Digital Transformation Award for the Ministry of Oil, which was launched in July 2022, witnessed great competition from participants from various companies and universities to create an advanced digital oil program that aims to reduce the time period and reduce risks associated with health, safety and the environment. Reducing operations operating costs and increasing and improving production, which helps stimulate and enrich the innovation and digital entrepreneurship environment and create added value for the Kuwaiti oil sector.
The Ministry stated that the Ministry of Oil Award for Digital Transformation aims to enhance the process of sustaining excellence in the oil sector and stimulate positive competitiveness among Kuwaiti youth in adopting best practices and standards of digital transformation to raise work to the highest levels, which contributes to highlighting talents and harnessing them in the service and development of oil companies.
The Ministry of Oil said that the digital transformation award includes the following categories: the first category, which includes female and male university students, the second category, which includes a group of technical specializations in Kuwaiti oil companies, and the third category for the Ministry of Oil.
It should be noted that the award targets technical cadres and youth energies from academic and oil authorities, who are partners in success, with the participation of a number of entities: Kuwait Oil Company, Kuwait National Petroleum Company, Kuwait Gulf Oil Company, Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC), Kuwait University , Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, American University of the Middle East (AUM), Australian University, American University in Kuwait (AUK), Gulf University, and SLB.
