For the first time in the history of the Ministry, the Ministry of Oil announced that the Supreme Council for the Environment, headed by His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil and Chairman of the Supreme Council for the Environment, Dr. Bader Hamid Al-Mulla, granted 7 employees of the Ministry of Oil the status of judicial officers, in a step to enhance the Ministry's efforts in monitoring environmental performance. Within the State of Kuwait and the implementation of the Environmental Protection Law and Proving Environmental Violations. This achievement comes as a culmination of the memorandum of cooperation signed between the Ministry of Oil and the Environment Public Authority in January 2022, which was signed by His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, Director General of the Environment Public Authority and Chairman of the Board of Directors, and His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahed Al-Malik Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil.
The Ministry of Oil said, in a press statement, that a decision was issued to grant the judicial seizure status to the employees and the graduation of the first qualified batch, where the tasks and specializations assigned to them were determined to implement environmental legislation and the mechanism for implementing the Environmental Protection Law, and to complement the procedures for granting the seizure status, the employees today, Sunday, December 25, 2022 Taking the oath before the Director General of the Environment Public Authority, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, and officials in the Authority and the Ministry of Oil.
In this context, His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahed Al-Malik Al-Sabah, said that graduating the first batch of employees in the ministry and granting them the status of judicial officers is an achievement that occurs for the first time in the history of the ministry, as the ministry will, as of today, have the authority to monitor abuses of the environment and contribute to preserving On a sustainable healthy environment inside Kuwait.
Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahed Al-Malik Al-Sabah stated that the role of the employees who were granted the status of judicial officers is to detect environmental deficiencies in the various regions of the State of Kuwait and inform the relevant departments of the Environment Public Authority of that.
He stressed that the Ministry of Oil is keen to implement the regulations for preserving petroleum wealth and to cooperate with the Environment Public Authority in implementing the Environmental Protection Law, and therefore has nominated a group of employees to pass the course and the test that follows it so that they can do their work fully.
His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil thanked the Environment Public Authority for their great efforts in graduating the first batch of employees and granting them the status of officers, wishing for more cooperation in the future.
The Ministry of Oil indicated that the employees who were granted the status of judicial officers are: Ahmed Abdullah Jasser Al-Shammari, Areej Yaqoub Muhammad Al-Shatti, Salem Ghassan Hosni Dabis, Shaima Jaafar Ali Al-Moamen, Ali Youssef Abdel-Nabi Al-Sayegh, Muhammad Abdul-Wahed Ali Al-Zaid and Razan Ahmed Yousef Al-Duaij.
