(Kuwait Gulf Oil): The actual start-up of the first 100 km onshore and offshore pipeline

The Kuwait Gulf Oil Company announced the actual operation of the first 100-kilometre onshore and offshore pipeline to transport light gas from the export facility of the Khafji Joint Operations to Kuwait by linking with the gas lines of the Kuwait Oil Company that feed the Al-Zour Power Station. The (Kuwait Gulf Oil) said in a press statement today, Wednesday, that the gas pipeline's capacity reaches 24 million cubic feet of light gas, which enhances the capabilities of the State of Kuwait to benefit from the available gas resources. She stressed that this line will contribute to the optimal exploitation of the petroleum resources in the divided region between the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially in the production and generation of energy, and reduce the costs of importing the quantities of gas required to cover domestic consumption, especially during peak times. She pointed out that the great achievement that came as a result of cooperation and mutual understanding with the partner in the Khafji Joint Operations area, Aramco Gulf Operations Company, resulted in the completion of one of the most important strategic projects with economic and environmental returns, which keeps pace with the growing demand locally and globally for natural gas. She indicated that this cooperation "constitutes a positive addition to the record of the fraternal and historical relations between the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and will, with God's help, be a motive for further achievements that will bring prosperity and prosperity to the two brotherly countries." The company expressed its thanks to all the concerned parties in the KPC and the oil companies, especially the Kuwait Oil Company and the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, with whom it was coordinated to complete the actual operation of the gas pipeline project. She also expressed thanks to the various ministries and official bodies concerned with the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which contributed to making the necessary coordination and granting approvals and facilities related to the implementation of this project. The Kuwait Gulf Oil Company was established in 2002, and it is one of the subsidiaries of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation to be responsible for Kuwait's share in the divided zone fields between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia instead of the Arab Oil Company after the expiry of its contract with Kuwait. The company is exploring, developing and producing oil in the onshore area of ​​the divided area, which includes the fields (South Umm Qadir, Al-Wafra, South Al-Fawares, Hama and Araq field) and the offshore area of ​​the divided area, which includes oil and gas fields in the areas (Al-Khafji, Lulu, Al-Hout and Al-Durra).
