Kuwait National Petroleum completed all the units of the Environmental Fuel project

The Kuwait National Petroleum Company announced on Thursday the completion of all units of the environmental fuel project after the successful completion of the hydrocracking unit No.114 at Mina Al-Ahmadi paving the way for the full and final operation of the project. The Vice President of the Executive Company for Projects at the Agency Ghanem Al-Otaibi told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that this unit is the one of the largest kind in the country with a production capacity of 70,000 barrels per day of low-sulfur diesel and high quality of Kerosene products, which are characterized by advanced specifications that met European requirements and standards. Al-Otaibi stated that in April 2020, that the company has announced the operation of all the project units at Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery 31 production and support units, which constitute the first package of this project. However the hydrocracking units, are the last 70 units of the second and third bundles of Mina Abdullah Refinery, which includes 70 units that have been completely full. He stressed that this project is one of the most important and largest projects of Kuwait’s oil sector, as it allows the company to produce high-quality, friendly environment products and contributes to enhance its profitability by opening a new global markets for Kuwait oil products.
