His Excellency UnderSecretary participates in OAPEC meetings

Ali Bin Sabt stated that the OAPEC Council of Ministers held its 106 meeting with the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) (at the level of delegates) and the Secretary General of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries through Zoom on 22 of May,2021 under the Chairmanship of His Excellency Dr.Nasser Bin Al-Hamidi Al-Dosari the representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Executive office of the Organization, which held the 2021 session. Bin Sabt added that the meeting has discussed number of topics related to the work and activities of the organization, including the ratification of the final accounts of the organization (General Secretariat and Judiciary) in 2020, also reviewed a report of the organization activities during the first half of 2021 including the follow-up on the environment issues and climate change. The follow-up on the work of the information bank, the organized events which were participated in or will be organized by the General Secretariat during 2021, as well as the meetings at the Arab Labor Organization. Also, he explained that the council briefed on the reports of the OAPEC General Secretariat on the world petroleum situation and the studies that were carried out by the OAPEC General Secretariat during the first half of 2021 which concerns oil prices, the role of scientific research in developing the petrochemical industry, problems of erosion, hydrogen production, the impact of the decline in oil prices on exploration and production in the petroleum industry. The Secretary-General said that the 106 meeting of the OAPEC Council of Ministers (at the delegate level) was preceded by the 159 meeting of the Executive office which was held through a video conference on 22, May 2021, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Nasser Bin Al Humaidi Al Dosari, the representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the OAPEC Executive Office, and a meeting which was devoted by the preparation of OAPEC Council of Ministers (at the delegate level). The meeting reviewed the activation plan to develop the all the organization's activities, also the departments of the OAPEC General Secretariat are working to imply all its axes which were approved by the OAPEC Council of Ministers. The Secretary-General concluded his statement by expressing his deep thanks for the great support received from the OAPEC Secretariat from the member states, which was enable to continue its work during the difficult health conditions through the countries around the world and hoping for further progress in the Arab Petroleum Industry
