Participating in the official delegation with the representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Misheal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil Dr. Bader Hamid Al-Mulla in the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change "COP27", the second version From the summit of the Green Middle East Initiative, which will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh during the period from 6 to 18 November.
The Ministry of Oil announced in a press statement that the United Nations Conference on Climate Change is an annual summit attended by 197 countries that signed the framework agreement, which are called parties, to discuss climate change and the efforts of those countries to confront the problem and develop proposed solutions to address it.
More than 100 heads of state, ministers, leaders of international bodies, and civil society organisations are participating in the largest annual gathering on climate, which represents a significant opportunity to consider the effects of climate change in Africa to implement what was stated in the 2015 Paris Agreement and to activate what was noted in the 2021 Glasgow Conference from Recommendations, and mobilize collective action on adaptation and mitigation actions for climate change.
