After the great success it achieved in its first session, which included many constructive creative ideas in digital transformation, the Ministry of Oil revealed the launch of the second season of the (Oil Innovates 2) Award, through which it seeks to present new ideas to develop work in all disciplines and departments in the ministry.
The Ministry of Oil said in a press statement that the general idea of the (Oil Innovates 2) award, which is implemented and supervised by the Public Relations and Media Department in the ministry, is to host university students in the departments of the ministry, and then present a project to develop departments and facilitate business in its various departments, according to which it is in line with the project Students' graduation.
The Ministry of Oil indicated that the target groups in the award are university youth from Kuwait University and the Australian University, noting that the start date for project work will be on October 25, 2022, with the deadline for submitting projects on November 25, 2022, with the ceremony held in December. Next, under the auspices of His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah.
She said that the jury committee for the award will be formed from the heads of the university departments to which the female and male students are affiliated, and awards will be presented from the sponsoring companies for the projects presented, and certificates of appreciation will be obtained for the participating parties and the winning students, in addition to honoring the sponsors in the award ceremony.

In this context, Director of Public Relations and Information at the Ministry of Oil, Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, said that the idea of the Oil Prize Innovates 2 coincided with Kuwait’s 2035 vision and its realization through Emiratisation and providing an opportunity for young people to develop their capabilities and capabilities that are in the interest of the state and attention to innovation and the national element. She said that the Ministry of Oil has taken upon itself to rely on national cadres as the oil of the future, in order to achieve the lofty visions of empowering young people and sharing their views and creativity to advance the wheel of development and achieve sustainable development within the Ministry of Oil.
Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah indicated that the Ministry of Oil will have the right to use successful projects to develop work in its departments, and meetings will be held before the start of the award to clarify what is required of the participating teams, and there will be people from the ministry who will help students, answer their questions and provide what they need. Prize conditions:
Regarding the conditions for registration in the award, the Ministry of Oil said that the registration is electronic, and students are not bound by certain mandatory conditions, except that their project is suitable as an idea for developing a department in the ministry, and that their project depends on artificial intelligence or digital transformation, indicating that there are no registration fees and there is no category A specific age, but it is preferable that the student be in the third or last year at the university, provided that each team includes 3 members of the same specialty.
The ministry said that there will be a hosting for students before the start of the competition for one day to present them with a presentation to clarify the goal of the competition, and there will be people from each department in the ministry who are specialists who will help the students and answer their questions and also provide the information they need, if any, and it is possible or there is a supervisor From each participating team, students are not required to attend the Ministry's headquarters.
The ministry indicated that the project that will be presented by the participating students must be appropriate as an idea for developing work in the concerned department in the ministry and in line with artificial intelligence or digital transformation.
