The ministry stated that the meeting approved all items on the agenda, where the minutes of the third meeting of the Petroleum and Gas Committee of the GCC States were reviewed, and the proposals of the State of Kuwait on the committee of petroleum media specialists were reviewed, as it was agreed to form a small working group to study the proposals of the State of Kuwait, and to discuss preparations for the Fifth Petroleum Media Forum. In terms of the date of the meeting and the host country, it was agreed that the General Secretariat would address the member states to express their opinion on determining the venue and date of the forum.
Strategy update
The meeting also discussed updating and reviewing the strategy of the Petroleum and Gas Committee for the GCC states, based on what was stated in the five-year plan. They reviewed the ongoing preparations for holding a workshop entitled (Methods of Strengthening the Integration of Economic Work in the Field of Energy and Climate Change), to be held on August 22-23 at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in Riyadh.
In addition to reviewing the results and recommendations of the joint dialogue between the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries on energy and climate issues, where the dialogue was held on May 10-11.
