The Kuwait National Petroleum Company announced today, Wednesday, the export of the first shipment of low-sulfur gasoline (auto fuel) and aromatic compounds, in compliance with the latest international environmental standards and specifications, to Asian markets.
The Executive Vice President for Administrative and Commercial Affairs and spokesperson for the company, Ahed Al-Khorayef, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the quantity of this shipment amounted to about 35,000 tons, which was produced by Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery and was exported in cooperation and coordination with the global marketing sector of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.
Al-Khorayef explained that the company has benefited from the advanced capabilities provided by the Environmental Fuel Project in the production of clean automobile fuels that are in accordance with international standards.
He stressed that the company has the ability to meet the local market's needs of this "important" product and export the surplus to foreign markets, pointing to the growing global demand for motor fuel, especially after the recent global crises, which made the global marketing sector in KPC expand in targeting new markets to sell the company's products. Including Southeast Asia and Europe markets.
He pointed out that the qualitative development of the company's production capabilities gave the corporation greater competitive opportunities to market these products and thus achieve a higher financial return that supports the country's national economy.
