His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil participates in the 158th meeting of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries.

His Excellency the Undersecretary the Ministry of Oil, Sheikh Dr. Nimr Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah will participate in the 158th meeting of the Executive Office of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) which is scheduled to be held today, Thursday, December 10, 2020. he Ministry of Oil said in a press statement that Sheikh Dr. Nimr Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah, the representative of Kuwait in the Executive Office of (OAPEC), will participate in the meeting along with the members of the office, representatives of the member states, headed by the State of Algeria President of the current session Dr. Volt Miloud, the office will prepare and prepare for the agenda of the OIC Council of Ministers. The meeting of the Executive Office is considered a prelude to the 105th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), to be held on December 13, 2020 through visual communication technology in which the ministers of oil, energy and petroleum will participate in the member states of the organization where it will be chaired by the Minister of Energy in the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdel Majid Attar which has the presidency of the session for the year 2020. The meeting will discuss a range of topics related to (OAPEC), the most important of which is the organization’s draft budget (the General Secretariat and the Judicial Authority) for the year 2021, and the activities of the General Secretariat for the year 2020, including conferences, seminars and meetings that it held or participated in. As well as what it has prepared of technical and economic studies specialized in the oil and gas industry, in addition to following-up environmental affairs and negotiations related to the developments of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. It should be noted that Kuwait is one of the founding countries of the Organization (OAPEC) in addition to hosting the headquarters of the Organization and supports joint Arab cooperation in all fields, including energy and oil.
