Al-Fadhel Participates in Gulf Oil Co-operation Committee

His Excellency Dr. Khaled Ali Al Fadhel Minister of Oil, Acting, Electricity and Water will participate in the 36th meeting of the Oil Cooperation of Gulf States, which will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 through via-video teleconference. This meeting will discuss a number of topics related to the Joint Gulf Work in the oil field. The Ministry of Oil said in a press release that the Petroleum Cooperation Committee’s meeting was preceded by the Committee of the Deputy Ministers of Petroleum in the Council countries (preparatory), which was held on Tuesday morning November 17, 2020 in preparation for the Committee’s meeting. The Ministry stated that the agenda of the 36th meeting of the Petroleum Cooperation Committee which will include a number of recommendations for adoption, which are presented to the Ministers in addition to the official Councils. The Gulf Cooperation Council Mineral Resources and Al-Naft has indicated that the Committee meeting will discuss the proposal of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the Joint Cooperation in the field of natural gas as well as the recommendations of the regional emergency plan committee for petroleum products of the GCC countries and the recommendations of the Secretariat-General to address the coronavirus pandemic, and explained that the topics presented for information and briefing during the meeting are follow-up on the implementation of the decisions of the Petroleum Cooperation Committee in the States of the Council at its thirty-fifth meeting, the recommendations of the committee of petroleum information specialists in the States of the Council with the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) and the memorandum of the General Secretariat on cooperation among the GCC countries in the field of energy. The Ministerial Committee for Petroleum Cooperation is composed of the oil and energy Ministers of the GCC countries. It is concerned with all the oil issues referred to it by the Supreme Council, whether by the Committee of Deputy Ministers of Petroleum in the GCC countries or by specialized committees and task forces. The Committee will take the appropriate decisions, guide and follow up the work of these committees.
