Minister of Oil: Kuwait is committed to all OPEC Decisions

Dr.Khaled Ali Al-Fadel Minister of Oil, Electricity denied what was said on Thursday, in a news broadcast by an international agency that Kuwait and other countries are discussing the possibility of continuing with the same levels of production. According to the sources in OPEC and the oil industry, these countries are facing difficulties in complying with the agreed level productions. Al-Fadel informed the Kuwait News Agency(KUNA), he was surprised that Kuwait was included in the news. Also he confirmed that ‘ no Kuwaiti has been officially contacted about what was mentioned in the news about Kuwait’s position. Since its inception Kuwait has been one of the most committed countries to its obligations to this agreement as it is known and its historical record of commitment to all resolutions. He added that the production reduction agreement was reached in April 2020 unanimously and all the participating countries signed this agreement. He noted that Kuwait supports OPEC efforts to restore the balance of the oil markets and continue to support any collective decision taken in this direction under the umbrella of OPEC
