His Excellency the Minister of Oil participates in the 23 meeting Joint Ministerial Committee to monitor production

His Excellency Dr.Khaled Ali Al Fadel Minister of oil, Acting of Electricity and Water and the Governor of Kuwait to OPEC Haitham Faisel Al Gheiss participated on Monday in the 23 meeting of Joint Ministerial Committee to Monitor Production by social distancing. The Minister affirmed Kuwait’s support for the efforts of all country members participating in the meeting to restore stability to the international oil markets, especially after they were affected by Covid-19 which caused the demand oil to drop significantly. The minister expressed his optimism about the expected results of the meeting also about the continuation of permanent cooperation between the OPEC alliance and the OPEC Plus. Kuwait is one of the member states to monitor the Joint Ministerial Committee for production control (JMMC)which was established in 2017 and Kuwait chaired the committee during the fundamental year and still plays an important role in the committee to advance the desired cooperation from all country members of the organization.
