As part of its efforts to support innovation and encourage national talents, the Ministry of Oil continues to organize introductory meetings for male and female students participating in the (Oil Innovates 3) award, which was officially launched by the Ministry last October in cooperation with the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity affiliated with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, as the award has become an important platform that brings together talented students with expertise and competencies in the Ministry of Oil, which enhances their opportunities to present their innovative ideas in developing the Ministry's operations.
On this occasion, His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah, confirmed in a press statement issued by the Ministry of Oil, that the (Oil Innovates 3) Award comes within the context of the Ministry's efforts to establish a culture of innovation as a basic element in sustainable development, stressing that investing in creative ideas is an investment in the future of the oil sector, and that the award aims to create a stimulating environment for innovators inside and outside the Ministry, as it encourages Kuwaiti youth to provide solutions and ideas that enhance operational efficiency and support sustainability in the oil industry.
He explained that the award is a step towards supporting the knowledge economy, as the Ministry seeks to be an example to be followed in adopting and implementing creative ideas, which is in line with Kuwait's future vision to build an oil sector characterized by flexibility and innovation.
A comprehensive picture
For her part, the Director of Public Relations and Petroleum Media at the Ministry of Oil, Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, said that the introductory meetings organized by the Ministry for female and male students aim to introduce students and inform them of the organizational structure of the Ministry and the various tasks of its departments, with the aim of presenting a comprehensive picture of the Ministry that contributes to directing their ideas towards implementable projects that support innovation and sustainability.
She added: "The (Oil Innovates 3) Award is not just a competition, but rather an important platform to support young talents and highlight their role in developing the oil sector in line with the Ministry of Oil's vision for digital transformation."
Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah pointed out that the award provides participants with the opportunity to learn about the real challenges facing the oil sector, which contributes to motivating them to think creatively and provide practical solutions based on the latest technologies and innovations, explaining that the ministry sees the award as an investment in young minds, and relies on the new ideas presented by students to achieve a qualitative shift in the sector, stressing the ministry's commitment to supporting projects that are in line with its future goals.

Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah stated that the (Oil Innovates 3) Award aims to enhance digital transformation and adopt modern technologies that contribute to raising the efficiency of oil operations and supporting environmental sustainability. The award has proven in its previous sessions that it is a promising platform for highlighting national talents capable of innovation, which confirms the importance of continuing this cooperation with educational institutions to stimulate creativity and enable the new generation to contribute effectively to the future of the sector.
Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah concluded her speech by saying: “The Ministry believes that the future of the petroleum sector depends on developing national competencies that possess creative vision and the ability to face challenges. Hence, we will remain committed to providing all support to the next generation of innovators, and contributing to bringing about positive and sustainable change that enhances Kuwait’s position in the global petroleum sector.”
