Ministry of Oil showcases its latest publications and digital initiatives at Kuwait International Book Fair 2024

Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah: The Ministry continues its leadership in digital transformation by launching several innovative technical initiatives
The Ministry of Oil announced its participation in the 47th session of the Kuwait International Book Fair, scheduled to be held from November 20 to 30, 2024, at the International Fairgrounds in Mishref. The Ministry will display a distinguished collection of its latest qualitative publications of books and magazines, whether paper or electronic, which deal with the history and development of the oil industry in Kuwait. It will also display modern digital initiatives aimed at enhancing cultural awareness about the oil sector and documenting its achievements.
On this occasion, the Director of Public Relations and Petroleum Media at the Ministry of Oil, Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, said in a press statement issued by the Ministry of Oil, that the Ministry is about to launch its latest publications, which is the story of oil, through interesting videos for all educational stages from primary, intermediate and secondary.
She stated that the educational videos shed light on the story of oil in the State of Kuwait, and this initiative aims to introduce students to the history of oil in Kuwait and its importance as a fundamental pillar of the national economy, in addition to shedding light on the different stages that this vital sector has gone through.
She added: "The videos cover the beginning of the discovery of oil in Kuwait, and the efforts of the first generation in exploration, which culminated in the export of the first shipment of crude oil in 1946, as well as the stages of production and refining, leading to the export that placed Kuwait at the forefront of oil exporting countries to the world."
She stated that the Ministry of Oil used the latest animation techniques to present the content in an attractive manner suitable for the targeted age groups, allowing students to understand the oil journey in an interactive and interesting way.
She stressed that these videos come within the strategy of the Public Relations and Petroleum Media Department, which seeks to enhance student awareness about the importance of oil and its pivotal role in supporting sustainable development in Kuwait, explaining that the videos contribute to enriching school curricula with educational visual content that reflects the history of the oil sector in the country and its successful journey to date, praising the efforts of the work team responsible for implementing this series, stressing its continuation in providing more qualitative initiatives that aim to spread oil knowledge among the emerging generations.
Digital Transformation
Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah added that the Ministry of Oil continues its leadership in digital transformation by launching several innovative technical initiatives, including the "Virtual Electronic Broadcaster Nouf", which provides digital media content in line with the ministry's vision of integrating technology with media work.
She explained that the ministry's pavilion participating in the book fair will provide a unique interactive experience for visitors to the exhibition, by providing a smart robot through which they can scan a special code to access the ministry's website, where electronic publications and magazines are available, which enhances ease of access to information and embodies the use of modern technology in serving visitors.
Sheikha Tamader concluded her statement by saying that the Ministry of Oil’s participation in the Kuwait International Book Fair confirms its commitment to promoting oil culture and documenting the sector’s progress in the country, in addition to its continuous support for national cultural initiatives, praising the vital role played by the exhibition as a cultural platform that brings together thinkers, writers and creators under one roof.
