Ministry of Oil launches Petroleum Culture Platform

The Ministry of Oil announced the launch of the Petroleum Culture Platform, a step aimed at enhancing general culture about the oil and gas sector and directing it to different age groups in society, noting that the platform aims to introduce the public to the history of the oil sector and its strategic role in supporting the national economy, which provides students, researchers and interested parties with a rich field of reference information.
In this context, His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah, said in a press statement issued by the Ministry of Oil, that the Petroleum Culture Platform comes within the Ministry’s plans to achieve comprehensive and simplified awareness about the oil and gas sector, as the Ministry seeks to facilitate access to various information through an easy-to-use interactive platform that allows visitors to move smoothly between its sections.
Sheikh Dr. Neimer Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah explained that the platform focuses on providing visual and interactive content about the oil industry that contributes to simplifying topics and presenting them in an enjoyable and practical way, and enhances the benefit of students and interested parties from all categories.

For her part, the Director of Public Relations and Petroleum Media at the Ministry of Oil, Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, said that the platform is considered an integrated archive of photos and documents, covering the pivotal moments in the journey of the oil sector, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiaries. This archive includes prominent historical milestones in the industry in Kuwait and the Gulf countries, with detailed explanations that highlight the most prominent achievements, starting from the first discoveries and reaching modern projects that raise Kuwait's position on the global level.
She stated that the Ministry of Oil has provided the platform as an open and accessible reference for everyone via the Internet, allowing students, academics and researchers from all over the world to access its content and benefit from its data. This approach is in line with the Ministry's goals in spreading awareness about the oil sector, and Kuwait's contribution to maintaining energy sustainability.
