Unifying petroleum media efforts to enhance the Gulf’s position in global markets

• The Gulf Petroleum Media Strategy is Capable of Facing Modern Challenges in the Field of Media and Communication
The Director of Public Relations and Petroleum Media at the Ministry of Oil, Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, said that the meeting of the Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Petroleum in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries discussed updating the petroleum media strategy for the coming years, in addition to adopting the recommendations of the Fifth Petroleum Media Forum hosted by the Sultanate of Oman.
Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's statement came on the sidelines of her participation as part of the Ministry of Oil delegation in the eighteenth meeting of the Committee of Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Petroleum in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, held in the State of Qatar today, Monday, September 30, 2024, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Oil.
She stated that the State of Kuwait has worked during the past period to develop and update the petroleum media strategy for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which aims to unify the media efforts of our countries and enhance their position in global markets as a safe and reliable provider.
Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah added: "Today, we are on the threshold of a new phase of joint Gulf work in the petroleum media sector, and we look forward to this strategy being able to face modern challenges in the field of media and communication." Media Forum Recommendations
On the other hand, she said that the Fifth Petroleum Media Forum, hosted by the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, issued important recommendations related to enhancing the role of the media in highlighting the shift towards clean energy and supporting the sustainability of the oil industry, and we at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Oil affirm our commitment to activating these recommendations and working to translate them into practical steps in cooperation with the GCC countries.
She indicated that the State of Kuwait believes that joint Gulf action is the best way to achieve sustainable development and enhance our role as major energy exporters, and this meeting comes at a very important time to increase coordination between our countries and lay new foundations for long-term cooperation in facing regional and international challenges.
At the end of her statements, Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed her confidence that the meeting will come out with effective recommendations and proposals that enhance the joint efforts of the Gulf countries and contribute to achieving the goals of the GCC countries in the energy sector.
