The Mina Abdullah Refinery, affiliated with the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, achieved the first place globally in risk management engineering according to a field survey conducted by the American company (Marsh), which specializes in risk management and providing insurance coverage.
The CEO of the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, Wadha Al-Khatib, said in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today, Sunday, that the field survey included 230 major oil refineries around the world, expressing her pride in achieving this great achievement that reflects the company's commitment to the highest standards of operational safety.
Al-Khatib stressed the company's keenness to apply the latest technologies and utilize the best practices in the field of safety and reliability, indicating that the refinery topped the list of global refining companies by achieving a historical average of 102.6 points in the survey that specializes in measuring and comparing the quality of risk engineering.
She explained that the field survey was conducted by a coalition that includes a group of global insurance companies led by the American company (Marsh), noting that this "unprecedented" result is the result of the continuous efforts made by the concerned work teams in the refinery, whose members work with dedication, loyalty and team spirit.
She stated that the advanced training and qualification programs provided by the company to its employees have effectively contributed to achieving such accomplishments that grant it many important strategic advantages, most notably enhancing the company's global reputation.
She pointed out that the recognition of Mina Abdullah and Mina Al-Ahmadi refineries as two world-leading refineries in the field of risk engineering is evidence of the company's commitment to the highest standards of safety and excellence, which enhances its position as a reliable partner in the global oil and gas industry.
Al-Khatib praised the sincere efforts made by all employees of the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, noting that this achievement is not only recorded for the company, but is a national achievement and an indicator of the extent of progress achieved by the State of Kuwait in various fields, and confirms the country's position and influence at the level of this important vital industry.
