Minister of Oil, Dr. Imad Al-Ateeqi, chairs the meeting of the committee charged with preparing the Ministry of Oil’s five-year strategy

His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil, Dr. Imad Muhammad Al-Ateeqi, chaired the meeting of the committee charged with preparing the Ministry of Oil’s five-year strategy, in the Ministry of Oil building this morning, Sunday, February 18, 2024. The meeting was attended by members of the Ministry of Oil Strategy Preparation Committee formed by the Ministry of Oil and the Arab Planning Institute, in the presence of the Chairman of the Committee, His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah, the Vice-Chairman of the Committee, Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and members of the committee from the Arab Planning Institute, headed by His Excellency the Director General. Arab Planning Institute Dr. Abdullah Al-Shami and committee members from the Institute. The Ministry of Oil said in a press statement that His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil, Dr. Imad Muhammad Al-Ateeqi, listened to an explanation provided by members of the committee about the progress of work in the Ministry’s strategy (2024-2028), which is consistent with the vision of the State of Kuwait for the year 2035 to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development that is firmly established. Stability and prosperity in our beloved country, as committee members from the Arab Planning Institute gave a presentation on the updated strategy of the Ministry of Oil. During the meeting, His Excellency the Minister stressed the need for the strategy of the new Ministry of Oil to follow the best practices used in strategic planning with the aim of providing a comprehensive and integrated road map to achieve the set goals, and to be consistent with the vision and strategy of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiaries for the year 2040. His Excellency the Minister praised the efforts made by the strategy preparation team from the Ministry of Oil and the Arab Planning Institute, stressing the importance of the strategy in organizing work within the Ministry of Oil and investing in enhancing the capabilities of the ministry’s workers and developing a sense of responsibility towards their country, expressing his hope that it will be launched soon. . Al-Ateeqi praised the vital role played by the Ministry of Oil in preserving our oil resources through optimal investment of oil wealth and developing its industry in a way that enhances the sustainable development of the State of Kuwait.
