(KIPIC): Providing low-sulfur fuel oil for power plants enhances efforts to transition to clean energy sources

The Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) announced its success, in cooperation with the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, in providing a constant, stable and safe supply of low-sulfur fuel oil at all stations of the Ministry of Electricity and Water, which contributes to strengthening the Ministry’s efforts in the comprehensive transition to clean energy sources.
KIPIC's official spokesman, Abdullah Al-Ajmi, said in a press statement today, Wednesday, that this achievement is the result of joint efforts between the company, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, and the Ministry of Electricity and Water.
Al-Ajmi stressed that the complete switch to low-sulfur fuel oil effectively contributes to preserving the environment, reducing environmental impact and improving air quality in the State of Kuwait.
He stated that the use of low-sulfur fuels is a key strategy to reduce sulfur emissions into the atmosphere, address concerns related to air pollution, and support global efforts to combat climate change. He pointed out that this transformation confirms the State of Kuwait's commitment to adopting sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in its energy sector, pointing out that the cooperation between (KIPIC) and the Petroleum Corporation supports the strategy of the Ministry of Electricity and Water towards producing more environmentally friendly energy and achieving national self-sufficiency.
