Kuwait Oil Tankers receives the Maritime Education and Training Award for the year 2023

The Kuwait Oil Tanker Company announced today, Tuesday, that it has received a distinguished award in the field of maritime education and training in the maritime industry in the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent for the year 2023 by the Maritime Standards Organization.
The company said in a press release that the Maritime Standards Organization is one of the important platforms for evaluating the performance of companies operating in the field of maritime transport.
She explained that the company's acting CEO, Sheikh Khaled Ahmed Al-Sabah, received the award during a ceremony held earlier today in Dubai, the Emirates, under the patronage of the President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and the CEO of Emirates Airlines, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed.
The statement quoted Sheikh Khaled Al-Sabah as saying that the company’s win of this award was a culmination of the efforts of all the company’s employees in its various activities, stressing that the company pays special attention to its human element, as it is the real wealth of (oil tankers), in addition to its distinguished fleet regionally and globally, which includes highly qualified national workers. He is competent and professional and possesses the qualifications and experience that enable him to continue the path of success and development.
He stated that the company uses the latest training programs in the maritime field, as it applies the system of maritime missions abroad, by sending students to study and train at the most prestigious specialized universities in the United Kingdom.
He stated that the universities where the company sends students offer the best and latest methods of education in the field of science, engineering and maritime navigation, which achieves continuity in providing highly qualified maritime labor that competes with the workforce in the maritime industry around the world.
He pointed out that the company is cooperating with fellow oil companies regarding the system of maritime study missions, through its cooperation with the Kuwait Oil Company, by working to send students to study in the United Kingdom to prepare national maritime workers trained at the highest levels.
He stressed that the company considers obtaining these awards an achievement added to the company’s record of previous successes in the field of maritime transport and contributes to motivating employees to exert more efforts and sincerity in their work to advance and maintain the company’s distinguished position among international companies in the maritime industry at the regional and global levels.
For his part, Executive Vice President of Fleet Operations, Yousef Al-Saqr, confirmed, according to the statement, that the company is moving forward in providing its services at the highest international standards through its diligent work to develop its fleet in accordance with the latest global technology.
He pointed out the company's keenness to develop and train national workers according to prepared programs aimed at reaching the highest levels of skill for this workforce.
