Saudi Energy Minister announces the discovery of a number of natural gas fields

Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman announced today, Sunday, that Aramco managed to discover a number of natural gas fields in the central region, the Empty Quarter, the northern border region, and the eastern region.
Prince Abdulaziz, quoting the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), said that the (Shadun field) of natural gas discovered in the central region is located 180 km southeast of the city of Riyadh, and gas flows from (Shadun Well 1) at a rate of 27 million standard cubic feet per day, in addition to 3,300 barrels of condensate.
He added that the (Shehab field) for natural gas is located in the Empty Quarter, 70 km southwest of (Shaybah field), and gas flows from (Shehab Well 1) at a rate of 31 million standard cubic feet per day.
He stated that the (Al-Shorfa field) of natural gas discovered in the Empty Quarter is also located 120 km southwest of (Al-Shaybah field), referring to the flow of gas from (Al-Shorfa well 2) at a rate of 16.9 million standard cubic feet per day, in addition to 50 barrels of condensate.
The Saudi Minister of Energy explained that the (Umm Khanasser field) for unconventional natural gas is located in the northern border region, 71 kilometers southeast of the city of Arar, after the flow of gas from (Umm Khanasser 1 well) at a rate of two million standard cubic feet per day with 295 barrels of condensate. .
He stressed that a (Samna field) of unconventional natural gas was discovered in the eastern region south of (Ghawar field), 211 km southwest of Dhahran, where gas flowed from (Samna 2 well) at a rate of 5.8 million standard cubic feet per day with 24 barrels of condensate. Gas flows from (Samna 6 well) at a rate of 9.25 million standard cubic feet per day.
