In his speech during the opening of the Kuwaiti Engineers Forum his under his patronage yesterday and was organized by the Association of Indian engineers working in the country, Al-Omair said that there’s no disengagement between engineering and oil and environmental issues listed in the Forum’s activities.
The minister added to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the Forum’s notion related to the compatibility between energy, environment and economy is "close and compatible with what is going on in Kuwait." And that the State of Kuwait is one of the world's most energy, electricity and water consumer considering the population, "What makes us more cautious on how to rationalize those sources to reach the ranks of developed countries economically.
The Forum has been participated by a number of young Kuwaiti engineers and students of Kuwait University who offer their ideas and proposals to solve the technical problems facing working in energy, environment and economy areas.
The Kuwaiti Engineers Forum is held under the sponsorship of several interested parties and concerned with energy, economy and environment, including the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, Kuwait Oil Company and Kuwaiti Oil tankers Company in addition to the Kuwaiti Engineers Society and other organizations.
